photographing the everyday | it’s just dandy

Thursday, February 25th, 2010

I was playing around with a little macro the other night…

The sun had set and it was pretty much dark when I shot this… but I like how it turned out.

I love dandelions and with all the rain we have had along with the bit of warm weather the dandelions are poppin’ up everywhere!

There is just something so innocent and sweet about dandelions… put them together with children and you have magical combination!

Cool Tool | For Photographers

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

Just thought I would share my favorite new time saving tool for photographers… the Compositer… found at Moirai Tools. It is a great way to share lots of images in one place easily! It makes collages in the blink of an eye which are perfect for clients as well as blog posts. Thinking of all the time I will be saving by using this product… precious time I could use doing so many other things. Efficiency is the key!

All you have to do is select the pictures… pick the layout and your are done! It is really that easy! It is amazing!!

Here are just a few examples of what you can do… from simple to more complex.

Go check it out…it will save you tons of time!

February Morning | Seal Beach, Ca

Monday, February 22nd, 2010

Southern Cali morning on the beach.

We were watching this old surfer catch wave after wave on his { Harbour } longboard this morning even though it was pretty flat. He was out-surfing all the young-ins around him. I think he knew we were watching him because he started doing some tricks which was pretty fun to watch!  I didn’t have my “big” camera so I had to use the cruddy camera on my phone (sorry for the poor quality images). I did take a video of him riding his board in backwards and turning it around… the quality isn’t good but you get the idea. (Might want to turn your sound down because of the wind noise)

Enjoy your day!
