photographing the everyday | it’s just dandy

Thursday, February 25th, 2010

I was playing around with a little macro the other night…

The sun had set and it was pretty much dark when I shot this… but I like how it turned out.

I love dandelions and with all the rain we have had along with the bit of warm weather the dandelions are poppin’ up everywhere!

There is just something so innocent and sweet about dandelions… put them together with children and you have magical combination!

dandelion love…

Just a quick lil’ post… I will get back into blogging regularly , now that my blog is fixed…

baby steps, right?

I love dandelions!

This is one of my favorite dandelion pictures… look at my daughter’s thumb nail… doesn’t it look like a heart? Who knew that chipped pink nail polish could look so cute? I think I might just have to blow this up and put it in her room. Dandelions are so magical. It is hard to pass one without the urge to pick it up, make a wish and blow.

I had some inspiration from another photographer who had taken some pictures in similar fields. These flowers are covering the hills of Southern California right now and are absolutely beautiful! I finally got some pictures of my own chicklets  in them.  I have just started going through these. We were having some beautiful weather over the weekend and decided to go on a little outing. Here is some of what I captured with a bit of vintage processing goodness.

These are some of my oldest… she is having a Birthday this week. My baby is turning 11!! I can hardly believe it is possible. How on earth can I be the mother of a child that old? It is amazing how fast time flies… she will be off to Middle School in the Fall. It is all down hill after that. =}

New Blog!

Wednesday, February 18th, 2009

I have been working on a new blog and now it is “live”.

I think I am going to like being able to upload bigger pictures. They will look so much better than on good old blogger which really makes your pictures look funky.

Here is a test pic…
