Our awesome Praise Band at Church…Lakin, who has the most amazing voice and Alex, filling in on bass this week. So blessed to have them!!

We joined up with some other married couples and are working our way through the “Love & Respect” study. Marriage is tough and it something you need to work at. We’ve only gone a couple of times, I’ll let you know what I think once we are finished, but so far it is pretty good!

While wondering the endless isles during a trip to Costco this week, I was thinking about how much food we have access to here in America. We can have anything our hearts desire at any given time. I think we all take it for granted, I know most of the time I do. It makes me so sad that we have people starving around the world…it just shouldn’t happen. There are ways we can all help…even small things…What can you do?

We had the Fall Kick Off at church this week where the kids to their youth group activities. We all had a blast! Macaine tried the Velcro wall…it is harder than you would think!

This is one of the verses that helps me get through the week! I know I need to fully rely on God to get me through & I fully trust he will!

My girls and I went to the High School Football game last night. It is my HS and where my oldest will go next year. {Totally not ready for that, I tell ya!!} We try to go to at least one every Fall. I’m not a huge Football fan, but the people watching is great!! The Middle school band had the opportunity to play with the HS band at the game. My daughter who plays the Tuba, yeah Big instrument for a little gal, got to try out a Sousaphone, an even bigger instrument for a little gal! It was pretty cool! Wish I had gotten a picture of her with it, but I couldn’t see her from where we were sitting. Maybe next time.

We had some rather unexpected rain showers today. They came through rather quickly and ended before I had a chance to enjoy it. Since it was the first official rain shower of the season I thought I would document it. We don’t get much of the wet stuff here in So Cal, so when we do it is kind of a big deal.

The quick little rainstorm left the sky full of cool clouds.

It also left us with a pretty awesome sunset!!

This week was also full of sniffling, sneezing and coughing. It is the part of Fall I don’t like. Seems like once school starts the cold passing sets in. Hoping next week brings some relief!

Every afternoon the setting sun casts some really cool shadows on one of the windows in our dining room from our tree outside. It is something I notice often, but haven’t ever photographed.

One of my favorite Autumn decorations. I picked it up, along with another one, during a trip to Muir Woods a few years back.

It is my favorite time of year to visit Disneyland! We have annual passes and try to go often, especially this time of year. The decorations are fun and festive, but my favorite part is that the crowds are gone after Summer. The kids all get out early on Wednesdays, so we headed there right after school this past week for a little afternoon fun. We were able to walk on practically every ride in both parks! It was tons of fun!!

We had a really beautiful sunset on the first day of Autumn. It was a great end to a perfect Autumn day!!
