{35 days of photographic creativity}

Tuesday, October 25th, 2011

I’ve found myself in a bit of a creative rut lately. In order to break out of it and get the creative juices flowing again I am planning to take the next 35 days to challenge myself creatively. I want it to be more random rather than planned out, so my plan is to draw a prompt every morning and use it to challenge myself that day. I hope by the end of the journey I am seeing things with a fresh perspective. I will share my shot from the day by the following morning along with the new prompt for the day incase anyone wants to follow along.

{Just to clarify…I will be using my big old beast of a camera, not Instagram for this project…I only used Instagram for this post.}

I put all the prompts into an old jar so they are ready to go.

Today’s prompt is… the Window to the Soul

I will be back tomorrow morning to share my shot from today. Have a great night!

xx Kathryn

eta (Wednesday morning): We had unexpected company drop by last night, so I am going to be doing yesterday’s (Tuesday) prompt today (Wednesday) since I didn’t get a chance to get my camera out before the sun went down. Life…gotta roll with it sometimes. ;)

{Joy of Love} | Photography Challenge

Tuesday, February 1st, 2011

I am  participating in the Joy of Love project this month

that Kelly from Willette Photography is hosting .

Head on over to Willette Photography to check out the details and sign up.

It is a free 28 day class that celebrates the Joy of Love!

Participants will receive daily email prompts/photo assignments with some tutorial/instruction built into the daily email lesson.

It is easy and fun! You will receive an email every morning, and you follow the assignment/prompt if you would like.

There will also be a public flickr gallery where you can share if you choose to.

It looks like a great project to get the creative juices flowing.

I will be sharring some of my images from this project here, so check back!

Can’t wait to get started!!

Happy February!
